4.7 stars to be more precise. Went here, great location, good atmosphere (local bar vibes is what’s up) food was good and fast. Lots of beer on tap, service was excellent and friendly. I’d definitely go back! I had the cheese curds which are nice and squicky and the salmon salad. Great value as well! Exceeded my expectations, and I am very particular about giving a place 5 stars.

Good lord, I never thought I would have a burger nearly this good again, perfectly cooked, delicious bacon jam, the only way it could have been better is if the cheese roll bun was toasted. Seriously stop here if you want divinity in a burger form. Fries were decent.

It was quite busy when we went in for a late lunch. We didn't have to wait to be seated. Unfortunately the corner we were in was full of flies. They have a large menu with several vegetarian options. I wanted something traditionally local so I got the veggie lazy Susan. It was a lot of food. I also tried an unusual soda, the Basil Siren Shrub. It was more vinegary than sugary which I really enjoyed. I had to take a lot of food home with me. But I had fun sampling different foods.

Really great spot. Stopped in just before our flight...not too far from the airport. Parking wasn't terrible. Outdoor seating ... Oh and the FOOD! Fondue was excellent! Turkey Reuben aka the Rachel...spot on. I had to try one of their old fashioneds of course. Made much differently than in Maryland and oh so good...more refreshing than relaxing. Service was phenomenal. They have a team approach from hostess to wait staff. Really enjoyed this quick lunch.

CHEESE CURDS CHEESE CURDS CHEESE CURDS. Best cheese curds in Wisconsin, allegedly. The waiter was attentive enough lol. Got the old fashioned cherry, it was good but kinda disappointed because they're literally called the old fashioned. The burgers were cooked well and great flavor. Just be prepared for a wait as it's one of the most popular places in Madison (for a good reason). Definitely check it out if you have a chance.

Haystack onion strings are a destination appetizer. Friday fish fry never disappoints. Can't make the annual trip to Madison without stopping here!

We arrived in Madison today for a few days and decided to have lunch at this restaurant. It was a very popular choice and has a great location near the Capitol. The menu offers appetizers, salads, sandwiches, was entrees. I opted for a wedge salad with grilled chicken added. The portion was very big. The chicken tasted great. The salad ingredients were very fresh and tasty. The only unusual thing is that comes with French dressing, and a tiny bit of blue cheese dressing. I asked.my server for some additional blue cheese dressing, and he quickly accommodated my request. My husband had the tenderloin sandwich with onion straws. It was a huge sandwich and very tasty. Those onion straws were also delicious. The only criticism was that the air conditioning was not fully working, and the restaurant was a little hot.

3.7/5 The beer cheese soup is decent--- beerly and flavorful. The burger is good, especially the beef patty, well-seasoned with pleasant spices. Also very juicy. The sunny-side up egg is great, liquidy, and delicious. Salad is good, the dressing is decent as well (ranch-like, a bit sweet, was good). I don't feel much freedom to personalize the food, except k can choose how well the patty is cooked. I asked if the salad dressing can be other type (I saw the brandy dressing, which sounds interesting), but I couldn't. Not complaining, just saying that this is what I had. Service is okay. They didn't describe much about the food itself, more of giving me several names that tourists like to order. In general, this is a place I'd check out as a visitor of the city, but maybe with friends (so that you can try different types of food).

This is a great restaurant with great food. I highly recommend the cheese curl's appetizer. I had the fish sampler I never use tartar sauce but theirs is very good. Our server was fantastic and recommended a very good local beer. If you are by the Wisconsin state capital be sure to stop by.
